Pengaruh Latihan Body-Weight Squat Dapat Meningkatkan Kekuatan Otot Tungkai Bawah Lansia Wanita di Lingkungan Banjar Bangah Kabupaten Tabanan
The Effect Of Body-Weight Squat Exercise Can Increase The Strength Of The Lower Limb Muscle Of Elderly Women in Banjar Bangah, Tabanan District
Abstract
Lansia akan mengalami perubahan pada sistem muskuloskeletal khususnya pada otot, seperti penurunan pada massa otot dan kekuatan otot. Adanya penurunan kekuatan otot pada esktremitas bawah akan menyebabkan gerakan menjadi lambat dan kaku, langkah yang menjadi pendek, dan saat berdiri tubuh tidak stabil sehingga aktivitas sehari-hari lansia mengalami hambatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui latihan body weight squat dapat meningkatkan kekuatan otot tungkai bawah lansia wanita di Lingkungan Banjar Bangah, Kabupaten Tabanan. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 35 orang dengan sampel 11 orang yang telah didapatkan berdasarkan kriteria penelitian. Alat ukur penelitian menggunakan five times sit to stand test. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan metode Pre-eksperimental dengan one grup pre-test and post- test. Penelitian dilakukan selama 4 minggu. Hasil analisis deskriptif kekuatan otot tungkai bawah pre-test diperoleh nilai rata-rata 13,11 detik dan post-test nilai rata-rata 10,34 detik. Selanjutnya dilakukan dilakukan uji normalitas dengan Shapiro Wilk Test dan uji hipotesis dengan uji Paired Sampel T Test. Hasil Shapiro Wilk Test berdistribusi normal dengan nilai signifikan pre test 0,575 dan post test 0,259 serta adanya peningkatan presentase sebesar 21,12%. Hasil uji Paired Sampel T Test menunjukan nilai signifikan yaitu 0,000 yang artinya terdapat peningkatan pada kekuatan otot tungkai bawah pada lansia wanita. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadinya peningkatan kekuatan otot tungkai bawah setelah diberikan latihan body weight squat pada lansia wanita.
