HUBUNGAN ANTARA INDEKS MASSA TUBUH DENGAN MOTORIK KASAR PADA ANAK USIA 8–10 TAHUN
Abstract
Latar Belakang : Dewasa ini masalah kegemukan semakin meningkat seiring meningkatnya kesejahteraan masyarakat dan peningkatan kemajuan teknologi yang membuat aktivitas masyarakat semakin rendah. Peningkatan masalah kegemukan bukan hanya mengancam orang dewasa, namun juga pada anak – anak. Peningkatan masalah kegemukan ini sangat erat kaitanya dengan kemauan anak – untuk melakukan aktivitas fisik. Salah satu yang harus diperhatikan adalah perkembangan kemampuan motorik yang berlangsung pada kehidupan anak. Tujuan : untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara indeks massa tubuh dengan kemampuan motorik kasar pada anak usia 8-10 tahun di Desa Tanon Kidul Kelurahan Colomadu, Kecamatan Gedongan Kabupaten Karanganyar. Metode : penelitian menggunakan pendekatan korelasional. Penelitian korelasional adalah suatu penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dua variable atau lebih serta mendeteksi sejauh mana variabel-variabel pada satu faktor berkaitan dengan variasi-variasi pada satu atau lebih faktor lain berdasarkan pada koefisien korelasi. Hasil : Secara statistik, terdapat hubungan antara Indeks Massa tubuh dengan kemampuan motorik kasar pada anak usia 8 -10 tahun. Analisis korelasi menunjukkan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kecemasan dengan kualitas tidur dengan nilai p = 0,001 (p < 0,05). Dan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar -0.699 yang berarti memiliki keeratan hubungan sedang. Kesimpulan : Dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin rendah nilai IMT seorang anak maka kemampuan motorik kasarnya akan semakin baik.
