Pengaruh Infra Red dan Massage terhadap Bell’s Palsy Dextra

Abstract
Bell’s palsy adalah kelumpuhan nervus VII jenis perifer yang timbul secara akut yang penyebabnya belum diketahui, tanpa adanya kelainan neurologik lain. Data yang dikumpulkan
dari empat Rumah Sakit di Indonesia didapatkan frekuensi Bell’s Palsy sebesar 19,55% dari seluruh kasus neuropati dan terbanyak pada usia 21 - 30 tahun. Rumusan masalah dalam
penelitian ini adalah pengaruh infra red dan massage pada bell’s palsy dextra. Populasi penelitian ini adalah pasien penderita bell’s palsy dextra.
Sampel penelitian ini menggunakan
seluruh populasi, yaitu sebanyak 8 pasien yang secara keseluruhan diambil sebagai sampel penelitian. Pengumpulan data didapat dari pemeriksaan kekuatan otot wajah dengan manual muscle testing (MMT). Manual Muscle Testing (MMT) sebagai pemeriksaan kekuatan otot wajah. Hasil uji t menunjukkan Sig. = 0,000 (<0,05), maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima.
Hal ini berarti kekuatan otot wajah sebelum dan sesudah tindakan penggunaan infra red dan massage tidak sama. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan adanya pengaruh penggunaan infra red dan massage terhadap kekuatan otot wajah pada kasus Bell’s Palsy dextra.
